On 27 November 2025, the Tunisian-Swedish Chamber of Commerce (CCTS) held the 2nd edition of its annual forum “Building Bridges Between Tunisia and Sweden” at South Mediterranean University (SMU) in Les Berges du Lac 2, Tunis. The forum was organised in collaboration with the Embassy of Sweden in Tunisia and SMU (MSB, MedTech and LCI), as a hybrid event that could also be followed online. Its theme was “Empowering collaboration between universities, entrepreneurs, and startups”.
The forum followed up on the 2024 seminar on start-up incubation in Tunisia and Sweden. It brought together leaders from academia, industry and the start-up ecosystem to explore how cooperation across sectors can drive innovation, skills development and sustainable growth.
The highlight of the morning was the signing of a cooperation agreement between MedTech (SMU) and Mälardalen University (MDU) in Sweden. The agreement opens the way for joint projects, academic exchange and stronger research cooperation between the two institutions.
In its message after the event, the Embassy of Sweden in Tunisia thanked Marcus Kjellberg and Rebei Ben Fdhila, who travelled from Sweden for the occasion, as well as all the panelists who shared their expertise to connect research, industry and ambitious young talent.
